THE STURGEON MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE
Known as the Sturgeon Moon, August's Full Moon takes its name from the season when the ancient lake sturgeon were easier to catch. Having survived for millions of years, the sturgeon has come to symbolize resilience, endurance, and the wisdom that comes from navigating life's deepest waters.
-The Sturgeon is a stirrer, it will be a good time to let what is meant to rise come up from the deep, out into the light.
This year's Sturgeon Moon is accompanied by a Lunar Eclipse, making it one of the most reflective Full Moons of the year. Rising in Pisces, inviting us to trust our inner knowing, while opposite the Virgo Sun reminding us to bring those insights into our everyday lives through meaningful action.
As with all Full Moons, this is a time of illumination and release. The presence of the Lunar Eclipse deepens this with a question: Where am I hiding my light?
Together we'll reflect on what is ready for harvest, what needs another push, and together honour what we've gained through our perseverance and the work we've already put in.
