Moonlight & Sage Healing Expo: Gathering Before Winter
About this Event
HELP BUILD A PERMANENT HOME FOR NATIVE CULTURE
Moonlight & Sage Healing Expo is raising funds for Lawilowan American Indian Festival, Inc. as they work toward establishing a permanent cultural home in York County, Pennsylvania.
Help preserve Indigenous heritage, education, and traditions for future generations.
Every contribution makes a difference.
Winter is coming.
Before the days grow shorter and the weather turns cold, take a little time to slow down, gather with others, and prepare for the season ahead.
Moonlight & Sage is a cozy autumn gathering centered around wellness, connection, learning, creativity, and community.
It's a chance to explore ways to care for yourself through the colder months—not just physically, but mentally, creatively, socially, and spiritually.
Because preparing for winter isn't only about stocking the pantry or putting away the patio furniture.
It's also about asking:
How do I want to feel this winter?
What do I need more of?
What would make the darker months feel meaningful?
Who do I want to spend time with?
What would I like to learn, create, or explore?
Explore Something New
Meet practitioners, educators, makers, and small businesses offering a variety of approaches to wellness and personal growth.
Explore herbs and natural wellness, Reiki and energy work, tarot and intuitive practices, meditation, seasonal traditions, creativity, self-care, spiritual exploration, and other ways of creating a more intentional life.
Take a workshop. Have a conversation. Discover a new practice. Find something beautiful to take home.
You don't need to follow a particular path, and you don't need to consider yourself "spiritual."
Come curious.
Prepare for the Season Ahead
Winter can be a wonderful time for rest, reflection, creativity, and turning inward—but it can also feel isolating when our routines and social lives change.
Moonlight & Sage is about finding ways to make the coming season feel warmer, more connected, and more intentional.
Discover ideas for creating your own seasonal rituals and routines. Learn something you can carry into the colder months. Find creative ways to stay connected. Meet people who share your interests. Discover local groups, classes, and communities.
Maybe you'll leave with a new hobby.
Maybe you'll discover a practice that becomes part of your winter routine.
Maybe you'll find a group you'd like to meet with again.
Or maybe you'll simply meet someone you wouldn't have met otherwise.
Connection Is Part of Wellness
We believe that taking care of ourselves isn't something we have to do alone.
Sometimes wellness is a quiet morning, a good book, meditation, or time in nature.
And sometimes wellness is people.
Conversation. Laughter. Shared interests. Learning together. Making something together. Having somewhere to go and people to see.
That's why Moonlight & Sage isn't designed simply as a place to shop or receive a service.
It's a place to gather.
We're creating an environment where people can meet, talk, learn, discover new interests, and hopefully find connections that continue long after the event is over.
Before Winter, Gather.
Come spend a day slowing down before the busy holiday season begins.
Have something warm to drink.
Learn something new.
Explore wellness practices.
Make something.
Discover seasonal traditions.
Meet local practitioners and makers.
Find a new interest.
Connect with your community.
And leave with a few ideas for making the coming winter a little more intentional, creative, connected, and cozy.
Moonlight & Sage
Prepare for the season. Find your people. Make winter your own.

Integrated Shadow Breath/Shadow Work
Host: Barbie Mack
Info: Integrated Shadow Breath is an approach that brings together conscious breathwork, shadow work, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed integration to explore the deeper connections between our emotional experiences, our physical responses, and the patterns we carry.
So often, we try to move forward by pushing through, staying busy, or burying the parts of ourselves that are uncomfortable to acknowledge. But what we avoid doesn't necessarily disappear. It can continue to influence how we respond, how we connect with others, and how we navigate our lives.
This discussion will explore how breath, body awareness, and shadow work can help us recognize these patterns, develop a deeper understanding of ourselves, and begin creating space for meaningful change.
We'll discuss why this work can be especially valuable during the winter months, when the natural shift toward stillness and introspection invites us to slow down, turn inward, and make room for the things that need our attention

The Spiritual Landscape Circle: Sigils - Preregister: [email protected]
Host: Kohenet Bekah Starr
Info: How do you talk to the divine? How do you listen for an answer? This month, we explore sigils: sacred symbols that turn an intention, a prayer, or a longing into a form you can see and hold.
For centuries, mystics have understood letters as more than tools for writing. They carry power, meaning, and the breath of creation. In this circle, you’ll learn the history and wisdom of sacred symbols, find the word your soul is reaching for, and transform it into a sigil of your own using letter wheels. It becomes a prayer made visible, something to return to long after the circle ends.
This circle includes:
Welcome, song, and introductions
A short teaching on sigils and letter mysticism
A written reflection to discover your word, with sharing in small groups
Creating your own sigil
A closing reflection and blessing
No art experience is needed. All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with your own sacred symbol Preregister: [email protected]

Many Paths, One Moon Shamans, Witches, and Priestesses in Conversation
Host: Kohenet Bekah Starr

What does each title mean to the person who holds it? Where do our practices overlap, and where are they truly different?
Panelists will talk about where their practices come from, how they serve their communities, and what they have learned from each other. The goal is curiosity, not comparison, and the audience will have a chance to ask questions.

Finding Light Within: Art Journaling into the Darkening Season
Host: Abbie Wence
Info: PREREGISTER: [email protected] As the days grow shorter and we move toward winter, nature invites us to slow down, turn inward, and make space for rest and reflection.
In this creative workshop, we’ll explore the symbolism of the darkening season through art journaling. Using color, words, collage, and intuitive mark-making, you’ll create a personal page inspired by three themes:
Release — What am I ready to let go of?
Light — What is bringing light into my life?
Rest & Renewal — What is quietly growing within me?
No artistic experience is needed. This is about process, not product. There is no right or wrong way to create your page. This is an opportunity to pause, connect with yourself, and explore what this seasonal transition means to you.
Come as you are. Create what feels right. Leave with a little more light to carry into the season.

Dream Catcher Workshop Preregister: [email protected]
Host: Randi Gillenwater of Slippery Dam Creative

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own dreamcatcher to take home. All supplies are included, including hoops, suede or leather, webbing materials, feathers, and decorative beads.
Make your creation uniquely yours by bringing personal objects, pendants, charms, or meaningful trinkets to incorporate into your design. Let your creativity guide you as you craft a piece that reflects your own story and intentions.
