_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Please consider volunteering to make this year's retreat a beautiful success! You are invited to hold more than one volunteer position if you are so called. You are welcome to attend as a day visitor or as a camper.
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
1. FIRST AID SUPPLY PERSON
2. FIREWOOD DUTY - ordering the wood, having it delivered, storing it near to the fire and keeping it dry. This person will also bring necessary firestarter or kindling. This person also will make sure our wood is dry. That means covering the wood with a tarp if it rains and opening the tarp in a bright hot sunny day.
3. SETTING UP AND MANAGING THE DISHWASH AREA near to where we eat
4. THE KEEPER OF QUIET SPACE - setting up a beautiful place where women can go to be quiet or take some space away from the group energy. Some ideas include a large tent away from the main gathering area filled with pillows and books or other relaxing things. If needed, this is also a place to process big emotions in this quiet, private space either alone or in the company of someone holding space for you. This designated space for processing big emotions helps the public, shared spaces feel neutral for more sensitive people.
5. SATURDAY DINNER, prep and serve to the group
6. SATURDAY DINNER HELPER, assist main cook
7. SUNDAY DINNER, prep and serve to the group
8. SUNDAY DINNER HELPER, assist main cook
9. (Penelope will do this) THE GODDESS OF SCHEDULING ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS - coordinating who is giving a workshop/leading an activity, also what the facilitators' needs may be and their preferred time.
10. PRINTING AND POSTING PAL - This person prints and posts the schedule and has some extra copies for women who want their own.
11. CAMPING SUPPLIES COORDINATOR - You create a list of any spare camping supplies that people may have available to share and also create a list of what others may need, sharing that with the group to see who can help out with that. You also coordinate who has pop-up tents available to donate to our common cooking/meal/hanging out area.
12. THE KEEPER OF THE FIRE - She makes sure the fire is hot when we need it like first thing in the morning for coffee/tea and before meals for cooking and for late evening hanging out.
13. CLEAN UP DUTY - She makes sure our common areas stay tidy throughout the retreat and also is the last one to leave the retreat on Sunday, ensuring we have not left anything behind and that we are leaving the Miami Campground better than how we found it at the start. Rather than doing it alone, this person may also ask others if they can help and coordinate a crew. This person also ensures we lock the gate upon leaving.
14. RECYCLING AND TRASH AND FOOD COMPOST QUEEN - This person has several large trash cans and lids that lock well and liner bags all set up in our common area. Compost can be a sealing bucket. What gets recycled in Peru? Plastics labeled 1 and 2 on the bottom, cardboard, paper, all glass, all metal tins, clean aluminum foil. What can be composted? All food scraps but not much dairy or oil and certainly no produce stickers stuck to the peels. This person makes sure trash bins are closed tight before we retire for sleep. Also makes sure bins aren't overflowing and the area kept tidy.

You are so welcome to join us on this 2026 Moon Lodge Retreat!!! It is such a beautiful time to connect to nature and to each other in the atmosphere of supportive, loving sisterhood. We attend with a kind, open heart, curious about this wonderful adventure we experience together. Come in your authenticity, ready to weave a loving safety net for the wonderfully refreshing authenticity of all the sistars present.
We will make fires, sing songs, play our drums and percussion instruments, enjoy great conversation, and delight in this amazing time of year. We shall celebrate and dance in the Glory of Life!
*** We will be turning off our phones for the majority of the retreat, turning them on just rarely to check on kiddos and family as needed. The focus will be on who is there with us and on the land where we will gather. If you'd like to use your phone to take pictures, just have the phone on AIRPLANE MODE if that's OK with you. ***
*** Bras, makeup, and shaving are optional! ***

***FOOD***
To make things simple, we will have everyone bring their own breakfast and lunch (lunch can also be leftovers from dinner the day before). Surely we can do our best to have a fire every morning for people to have hot water to make their beverages (rainy mornings might make this a tad bit challenging to have hot water...). Those who love coffee may be able to bring some instant coffee to mix with hot water.
** Please do register with me so I know if you'd like to participate, so I can add you to the private FB group we've created for coordinating.
Thank you so much in advance for your participation in this year's retreat! Come on out to show your support for our local tribe! If you'd like to make a donation to the Miami but aren't able to attend the retreat, just get in contact with me, Shakti Penelope.
We are looking forward to a wonderful adventure together. Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions.
Love to all of you!
