Hello & welcome.
I’m Richard, a ceramic animal artist (amongst other things!) based in Yorkshire in the UK. I was introduced to ceramics/pottery many moons ago and since then, my work has evolved through hundreds of hours of studio time, workshops, and classes.
I have incorporated all the best bits I have learned over the years, and developed interesting techniques that I can now teach you! My workshops run throughout the year, in lots of locations, throughout Yorkshire and beyond!
When I’m not running workshops, I spend hours in my personal studio, perfecting what I know best and producing what I love, animal sculptures!
What to expect on the day?
At the Moon Gazing Hare workshop you will learn some of the key skills of the sculptor and in the process you will create your very own masterpiece.
The workshop is restricted to a small number of participants and will run for the majority of the day.
Please arrive at 10am for a 10:30 start. We will take a break for lunch and aim to finish at around 4pm.
The workshop includes a full days tuition, good quality clay, all sculptors tools, glazes and firings.
Your sculptures will be ready within 4 weeks to collect once fired.
The groups are warm and friendly where nobody is left behind – perfect for the absolute beginner and all abilities welcome.
