Mood Sewciety Meetup: Open Sewing Session

Welcome to the ultimate gathering for local makers! The Mood Fabrics Showroom in Chicago is opening its doors for a collaborative, high-energy community sewing event. Whether you are a seasoned designer or a hobbyist looking for a structured creative space, this meetup is for you.

What We'll Be Doing

• Socializing & Sewing: Connect, chat, and share tips with a vibrant community of local creatives.
• Progressing Your Projects: Dedicate uninterrupted time to moving your current garment, design, or textile piece closer to the finish line.

What to Bring

• Works in Progress (WIPs): Bring whatever project you are currently working on!
• Tools & Supplies: Bring your go-to sewing kit. (Don't worry if you forget something—notions and cutting mats are available for purchase on-site!)

What to Expect

• On-Site Equipment: We have 10 Janome MOD-15 Easy-to-Use Sewing Machines (featuring 15 stitches, adjustable stitch length, and 5-piece feed dogs) available for attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. You are also welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer!
• Shopping & Supplies: Need an extra tool or a specific notion to finish your WIP? Essential notions and cutting mats are available for purchase right in the showroom during the event.
