What is the difference between a smorgasbord and a buffet?
•A smorgasbord is not just about quantity — it’s about variety, hospitality, and social connection. Guests take small portions, savor different flavors, and often go back for several “rounds,” chatting between courses.
•A buffet is primarily about choice and abundance — diners can eat as much as they want for a fixed price. It’s more about efficiency and variety than ritual or social connection.
In short, A smorgasbord is about celebrating togetherness and tradition through food.
A buffet is about convenience and freedom of choice.
Please join us every fourth Sunday to enjoy the social community aspect of a smorgasbord following worship. Bring a dish to share and invite a friend or two.
