Monthly Mommy Meet-Up - Great American Smokeout

The third Thursday in November is known as The Great American Smoke Out. Annually, this day is used to encourage people to quit smoking and support others who are trying to quit. With OEI and EGEMS, the Baby & Me Tobacco Free Program (BMTFP) would like to share with moms the purpose and importance of tobacco cessation.

Families will learn about second and third-hand smoke and the effects of tobacco use during pregnancy, the steps to become tobacco-free, and how to help with the burden of tobacco use. We will also connect with the Chronic Disease team to share information about asthma and the impact of tobacco on chronic lung conditions.

Registration is required, as seating is limited.

All eligible Montgomery County residents who attend and complete a post-event survey will be eligible to win one door prize.

Must be pregnant or have an infant under the age of 1 to be eligible to win one door prize.
