Pamela E. Foster, Ph.D., shares the breadth and nuances of the Black genealogy book genre from its earliest 19th- and 20th-century debut to the present post-Roots explosion. An AAHGS chapter co-founder and former chapter president and national board member, Foster will cover collecting Black genealogy books, the content of these books as explained by music, and massively celebrating these books in 2026 and beyond to benefit descendants' well-being and honor Roots' 50th anniversary.
