Take part in a free carousel of activities designed to allow young people aged 8+ to explore the Monsters of the Sea through the virtual world science and computing.

Embark on an immersive journey into the depths of the oceanic past with our cutting-edge Extended Reality suite activity! Get ready to explore a stunning 3D model straight from the archives of the Natural History Museum – the awe-inspiring skeleton of the blue whale.
In this interactive experience participants will find themselves transported to a captivating 360-degree environment where they'll have the power to navigate and investigate every inch of the ancient creature's remains using a simple touchpad interface. From its formidable jaws to its intricate skeletal structure every detail is at your fingertips.
Recreating a monster of the sea!
Join our workshop where you'll get to design your own 'Monster of the Sea' and see it come to life in a game. We'll guide you through the process helping you draw inspiration from myth and biology to create unique sea creatures. Using digital art tools you'll bring your creations to vivid existence. Then we'll import them into our game engine where they'll become part of the virtual ocean ready to surprise and challenge players. It's a fun and creative journey you won't want to miss!
Saltwater experiment: explore the secrets of seawater!
Dive into the fascinating world of marine science with our interactive seawater experiment. In this engaging activity participants will get the chance to explore the unique properties of seawater and learn about its importance to our planet's ecosystems.
In this hands-on experiment participants will embark on a journey to understand why oceans are naturally salty by observing the effect salt has on the buoyancy of objects and marine animals in both seawater and freshwater.
