Monster Café | A Cozy Artsy Experience

What’s an octokitten and how do you make one? You just might find out at Monster Café, an experimental traveling art salon that takes place at coffee shops across Seattle and the Eastside. Sit down with a few other curious folks for an encounter with a series of small, fantastical creatures. Think of this as an anti-exhibit: instead of reading placards in an impersonal space, you’ll hear the wild stories of what inspired the creatures directly from the artist who made them. You’ll also get the inside scoop on the nitty-gritty of making monsters, including tools, techniques, and tricks for details like wings and realistic eyes. Finally, take home an exclusive handmade mini-monster of your very own.
