Monrovia: Community Bike Audit Ride!
About this Event
Join us on Saturday, September 12 for a free, family-friendly bike ride. During the ride, we’ll be asking for feedback to help improve the Monrovia cycling experience.
This beginner-friendly bike ride will start at Library Park in Monrovia by the water fountain. During the ride, participants will audit streets noted in Monrovia's Bicycle Master Plan Update by providing feedback on their experience. This event is funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety.
*Pre-registration is strongly encouraged for planning purposes, but day-of registration will also be allowed.
** This is a free, family-friendly event. The bike ride may not be suitable for all ages or abilities. Please see considerations below before participating.
Date: Saturday, September 12th
Time: 7:30 am - 10:30 am
Start/Finish Location: Library Park (Water Fountain), 321 S Myrtle Ave, Monrovia, CA 91016
Route: Approximately six miles bicycling with gradual elevation gain on shared streets with cars.
Timeline:
- 7:30 am - 8 am - Check-in
- 8 am - Roll out
- 10:30 am - Return

Experience Level: Beginner / Intermediate—We will be riding on shared streets with mixed traffic at a pace of 10-12 MPH, with gradual elevation gain.
What to Bring:
- A functional bicycle or wheeled device (highly recommended with gears)
- A helmet is required if under 18
- Water Bottle (with water!)
- Bikes with training wheels are not permitted, but children are welcome to attend if pulled in a trailer or on a bike child seat
*** *** This ride is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike) event. E-bikes are welcome.
*** PLEASE NOTE: All ride participants must sign a waiver to participate. A parent or legal guardian must sign for and accompany any minors under 18 participating in the ride. ***
