Learn three different printmaking techniques to create one off prints.
About this Event

Monoprinting is a way of making one-off prints. We will learn three different techniques; direct method, object method and subtraction method. We work on sheets of glass using rollers, brushes, cotton buds, pencils and pens to make images. Objects like leaves and feathers can also be rolled into the ink to make impressions of their texture and shape. We use black and coloured printing inks and a variety of different sorts of paper. The techniques are easy to do again in your own home or studio.

Suitable for all levels including artists and complete beginners. No experience necessary.

All materials provided but students are encouraged to bring their own images to work from, such as drawings or photographs. There will also be images and objects to inspire you in the studio. Please wear old clothes as printing can be messy.

Feedback from previous student: Rachel is an excellent teacher, engaging and resourceful, her long experience as an artist and printmaker was very helpful in enabling my learning.
