Monkey and the Engineer play YONDER
Advertisement
Monkey and the Engineer brings together longtime friends and bandmates Marcus Cheek and Dave Bangert. What started as an impromptu guitar duo paying tribute to Jerry Garcia in 2010 became an annual tradition for Triangle Deadheads at The Crunkleton.
Along the way, they’ve welcomed close friends and family into the mix, including Dave’s son David on drums, Martis Cowles on keys, and a host of talented friends. Marcus and Dave remain at the center, with each collaboration bringing something of its own to the music.
For their Yonder appearance, Marcus, Dave, and David will share an acoustic mix of Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia favorites alongside original songs, with room for improvisation and plenty of familiar tunes to sing along.
