“Tender words and heartfelt stories provide gentle guidance to remind us how we can care for each other and ourselves, with attention to the profound power of small acts.”
Robin Wall Kimmerer, author of Braiding Sweetgrass
“Monique Gray Smith’s signature warmth and wisdom illuminates paths toward resilience, creativity, and human connection.”
Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love
In her newest book, Sharing the Light, Gray Smith offers a collection of uplifting stories, vignettes, and reflections designed to support us in meeting a changing and often challenging world. Through the lens of five transformative practices, gratitude, love, joy, happiness, and hope, she invites us to pause, reconnect with our inner light, and remember the quiet strength found in small, meaningful acts. In this evening gathering, Monique brings her signature warmth and wisdom to life, sharing insights and stories that are both deeply personal and widely resonant, grounded in the understanding that love is medicine and that storytelling can guide us back into connection with ourselves and one another.
Monique Gray Smith is an award-winning, bestselling author of books for children and adults, as well as an accomplished international speaker and consultant. Of Cree and Scottish descent, she has been sober and on her healing journey for more than thirty-four years. She is widely known for her storytelling, generosity of spirit, and focus on resilience. Her many books span all ages and are used to share wisdom, knowledge, and hope. She lives with her family on the traditional territory of the WSÁNEĆ people near Victoria, British Columbia.
