Bake It In: Discussing Joyful Anyway

Bake It In Book Club will be hosting the next brunch and book club at The Skin Witch. The Skin Witch has been Vancouver’s most enchanting facial studio since 2013. Your registration includes brunch and coffee.

We are reading Joyful Anyway by Kate Bowler

Quick summary: Kate Bowler; a stage-four cancer survivor will convince you that happiness depends on circumstances, but joy is sturdier, and you can have it even when life is fragile, unfinished, and full of sorrow.

Things you may need to know:

-You will need to get the book yourself. Yes audiobook counts as well. If you want a physical copy to own please purchase local from Book Warehouse and tell them its for a book club you will get 10% off.

-There is no pressure if you havent read the whole book please join. Getting to know others and hear from different perspectives is what its about. Steph will send out the questions a few days prior so you have an opportunity to review. However, no pressure. I will do a recap at the start of the session.
