Monday Swing is a weekly vintage swing dance practicum and social dance on Monday nights with DJ'ed music in a cozy SE PDX setting.
Lesson: $5
Dance: Sliding scale $10-20
All ages! No partner needed!
7:00 - 8:00 Lesson — Swingout Technique w/ Katie & Tristan
8:00 - 10:00 Social dance & practicum with DJ music

Class 1: Tempo Up!
Join us for drilling 8-count footwork at increasing tempos. Then we will deep dive into our swingout technique and form. Get ready to sweat!
Class 2: Forward Tempo!
Find efficiency at speed with a deep dive into forward facing swingouts. Don't forget your sweat towel!
Class 3: Peak Tempo!
Recapping what we've learned over the past two weeks, but living in the 180-20bpm range. We will also cover trading out triple steps for single steps. Sweat, rattle, and roll!
Class 4: Dynamic Tempo!
We will explore new ways to add texture to your fast dancing!
>>What's a practicum and social dance?
We DJ music just like a regular social dance. You can come out and just dance like normal, or you can come planning to work on something: Ask for feedback, work on a move, play with variations, master a routine.
>>Have a specific question?
Experienced dancers and local teachers are available at practicum to help out with sticky spots.
