Monday Night Jam Session: David Watson at the Blue Room

*David Watson* is a veteran Kansas City-based jazz singer and bandleader. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he's been in the music all his life — he started singing in elementary school and first fell in love with jazz as a child when he heard Ella Fitzgerald scatting. That early influence never left him.

David is a singer, songwriter, and jazz drummer whose career has taken him across the country and into company with some of jazz's most respected names. He released his first CD on his own label, Music in the Vines, and is also a composer and record company executive. He is a founder of the Sonoma Valley Jazz Society, a nonprofit philanthropic organization supporting jazz education and performance.

Monday Night Jam features a 45-minute set followed by an open jam session — bring your instrument or just come hang out. FREE admission. (And note: this Monday is Memorial Day — the Blue Room is open, the music is on.)
