Start your week slowly—with clay, focus, and creative flow.

Monday Morning Mud is a relaxed, adult pottery class designed to ease you into the week. We’ll work on the pottery wheel, explore form and technique, and enjoy an unrushed studio environment that leaves room to learn, practice, and breathe.

This course is designed for beginners and returning students who want to slow down, get a little messy, and build real skills on the pottery wheel—no experience needed. Whether it’s your first time touching clay or you’re coming back for more practice, this class meets you where you are.

All materials are included (clay, tools, glazes, and firings). Just bring yourself—and an apron if you’d like one.

We meet once a week for 2 hours, with each week building on the last:

Week 1: Studio intro, clay prep, and wheel demo — meet the wheel and make your first forms

Week 2:Trimming day — clean up your pieces and refine your shapes

Week 3: More wheel time — practice, repetition, and getting comfortable throwing

Week 4: Final trimming, finishing touches can chosing glaze colors before firing.

Students may keep up to 6 finished pieces, all glazed and kiln-fired by the studio.

Additional pieces beyond the first 4 are $10 each.

A quick note on the process: pottery has a mind of its own. While you’ll be guided every step of the way, firing ceramics comes with some natural risk—occasional cracks, warping, or breakage can happen. It’s all part of the magic (and mystery) of clay.

This is a small-group, encouraging, judgment-free space focused on learning, experimenting, and enjoying the process—not perfection.
