Whether you work weekends in hospitality, retail, or shifts, or simply have a free Monday afternoon in York, join us for an inspiring, structured hour of drawing inside a classic city-centre pub.

What to Expect

• Fresh Weekly Prompts: No boring step-by-step copies or fruit bowls. Experiment with new materials, techniques, and ways of seeing every week.
• Zero Pressure: Focus on building raw confidence and finding your own style instead of making a "perfect" picture.
• All Levels & Community: Friendly, welcoming, and open to complete beginners and regular drawers alike, with optional opportunities to get involved in local York festivals.

Time and Venue:

Location is inside the conservatory, which is the back room at The Exhibition, York. Grab yourself a drink from the bar and head straight on through to join us. We start bang on 3:00 PM every Monday and wrap up at 4:00 PM.

You can book your place in advance right here on Eventbrite, or simply drop in and pay at the door via cash or card.

What to Bring:

Please bring a basic sketch pad and drawing pencils. All other specialised materials for the weekly challenges are fully provided. Spare paper and pencils are always available.

Concessions:
Discounted tickets are available for anyone currently on maternity, paternity, or parental leave, those receiving Universal Credit or low-income benefits, seniors (65+), and full-time students. No proof is required; please select the concession option if it applies to you.

Accessibility Note: Due to the beautiful, historic nature of the building, please note there is a physical step at the main street entrance.
