Monday’s coming round again, which means it’s time for the weekly Tennent’s Laughter Lounge OPEN MIC, a totally free night of stand-up comedy featuring some of the best up-and-coming talent Scotland has to offer, plus some pros trying out new material. Your host for this evening is Jack Brookmyre, a Glasgow based comedian known for his impeccable accents and impressions, as well as his blend of absurd and observational comedy. Jack quickly made an impression on the Glasgow circuit, winning the 2022 GICF Student Comedy Award. Since then, he has made multiple appearances at The Stand in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and has beaten the Merchant City Gong twice. He was also shortlisted for the 2024 BBC New Comedy Awards.

Interested in performing? Sign-up for each show opens from Tuesday the week before, message our FB page and 5 minute slots will be allocated on a mainly first come, first serve basis. Attempts to sign-up at the wrong time or via the wrong channels will be ignored.
Doors to the bar open at 5pm, doors to the comedy room downstairs open at 7pm.
