Mom’s Day Out: Color Me Creative with Single Mom Strong LA

Take a break. Get creative. Refill your cup by painting a cup!

Join Single Mom Strong LA for a relaxing morning of pottery painting at Color Me Mine – Culver City!

You'll enjoy:

🎨 A 12 oz. mug to paint (all pottery is lead-free and food-safe)

👩‍🎨 Playing with design and color

🍎 Enjoy light refreshments during the event

👶 Licensed childcare available (limited space – RSVP early!)

How It Works:

• Paint your pottery mug—no experience needed!
• Leave your masterpiece behind to be glazed and kiln-fired
• Pick up your finished piece approximately 10 days later

Connect with other single moms, enjoy some “me time,” and leave with something beautiful—created by you.

📍 Color Me Mine Parking Tips:🚗 The best place to park is The Culver Steps P1 underground lot — it’s free for the first hour, then just $1 per additional 30 minutes.🚫 Avoid P2, which starts at $7 for the first hour.🛒 Another great option: the lot next to Trader Joe’s, with the same pricing as P1.

We offer high-quality childcare during Mom’s Day Out events. Children must be pre-registered through Eventbrite and be at least 2 years old and potty trained. Childcare includes a snack. Space is limited and fills quickly—register early to reserve your spot.

Upon arrival, check in with a staff member and complete a Liability Release form for your child. Please take a moment to introduce your child to our staff and sign them into care.

Childcare will open at 9:15 AM. If you are utilizing childcare, you must arrive no later than 9:25 AM at National University (5230 Pacific Concourse Drive, Ste 400 Los Angeles, CA 90045). There is free 20-minute drop-off parking in the “circie” of the National University lot; otherwise, parking is $10. We will leave National University promptly at 9:30 AM, so give yourself time to bring your child into the building and get aquainted with our team.

• Please arrive on time to participate.
• We will be painting. Dress accordingly.
• Allow extra time for parking. Parking can be challenging.
• If you are utilizing childcare, you must arrive between 9:15 and 9:25 AM at National University (5230 Pacific Concourse Drive, Ste 400 Los Angeles, CA 90045) to check children into childcare. Each month, Single Mom Strong offers opportunities to connect with other local single mothers. One of those opportunities is our Mom’s Night (or Day) Out event—your chance to "refill your cup" and build relationships with women who truly understand your journey. These events offer fun, shared experiences in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Licensed childcare is available during all Mom’s Night (or Day) Out events, but space is limited and fills quickly—register early to reserve your spot.
