About Illinois Prairie Chapter of Ikenobo Ikebana
Illinois Prairie Chapter is based in Champaign, IL. Community members seeking to study Japanese culture, Ikenobo Ikebana, and the flower way formed this study group in May 1991, under the guidance of Professor Emeritus Kimiko Gunji. Illinois Prairie Chapter holds many public workshops, exhibitions, and demonstrations, often in conjunction with special visiting professors. Their membership is diverse: local members and those from out of state; people from different countries and cultures; people of all ages, working or retired from a wide range of careers.
