"For years I have poured everything I have into one dream: a beauty supply store on Georgia Avenue that does more than sell products, it serves people. It's where young girls are inspired to dream bigger and learn what it means to become business owners. It's where emerging entrepreneurs are given opportunities to launch, grow, and showcase their brands through pop-up experiences.

Right now, Kuku's is in danger of closing its doors for good. Kuku's Beauty Supply is my livelihood, and a community hub. I am facing eviction in days. Losing this means losing everything I've worked hard to build in the last six years plus.

Kuku's is feeling exactly what so many in this community are feeling—except for a small business, t here is no unemployment check, no safety net. There is only the hope that the community we have served will help us survive this moment together."
