The Momentum Business Plan Competition will award up to $15,000 to start or move an early-stage business to Mason County. Administered by the Chamber Alliance, the Momentum Business Plan Competition is open to any eligible independent for-profit or non-profit venture with a viable business idea, plan or invention; or an existing organization or company with less than $250,000 in sales or revenue annually.
The application period is from January 9-March 24, 2025. A complete business plan must be submitted to the Chamber Alliance by 5 p.m. March 24 by emailing to [email protected].
In April, five business plans will be selected to be pitched live in front of a panel of judges and a live audience. The judges panel will decide who will take home the grand prize of $15,000 at the May 8 competition. A second prize of $10,000 cash and $5,000 in support services will also be awarded. In addition, a People’s Choice Award will profit one business a $5,000 cash prize. Audience members will have the opportunity to participate in a live voting event to determine the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
Pitch Night begins at 5:30 p.m. with an opportunity to meet the finalists. Light appetizers will be served. Pitch presentations will begin at 6 p.m.
