Join us Christmas Eve for an evening of sacred connection, luminous movement, and heart-centered sound. Ministry of Movement presents: Starlight Sanctuary: A Sacred Song, Sound, and Ecstatic Dance Journey designed to open your heart, attune your body, and connect you to the light within. Featuring live vocals and crystal sound bowls by Makaysha, with Ecstatic Movement set by Rev. Justin Smith!
This gathering invites you into a powerful journey that honors the stillness, mystery, and brilliance of this holy night. Together, we’ll weave sacred song, sound healing, ecstatic dance, and heart-centered meditation into a deeply nourishing evening of remembrance and renewal.
We’ll begin by settling into the space through music, sounding, singing, and crystal sound bowls, creating a warm field of resonance to open the body and soften the heart. We will weave a tender heart meditation, connecting your heart to the Star of Bethlehem—not as a distant symbol, but as a reflection of the light you carry within.
From there, Rev. Justin will guide you into an ecstatic dance experience, a liberating movement journey where your body can unwind, express, and remember its own wisdom.
We will wind the evening down with more immersive sound offerings from Makaysha, including sacred songs, medicine songs, and a restorative sound bath designed to realign your energy and deepen your connection to self.
This evening is an invitation to move, breathe, feel, and remember the radiance of your own spirit. Come honor the sacredness of Christmas Eve through song, sound, breath, and embodied movement. Let this be a night of renewal and luminous presence.

Ministry of Movement Culture Codes: Honoring Our Shared Space
At the Ministry of Movement, we are committed to creating a space of deep presence, connection, and reverence for all who gather.
We honor the role that various "medicines" can play in personal and collective journeys, and we invite our community members to engage with them in ways that are intentional, safe, and free of shame—outside of our gatherings.
When it comes to our Wednesday Night Service, we ask that all who attend uphold the integrity of the space by arriving in and maintaining a state that allows for clarity, connection, and attunement.
If you choose to partake in any "medicine" prior to joining us, we ask that you do so with mindfulness—ensuring that it aligns with the guiding principles of being true, kind, and necessary for both yourself and the collective while maintaining states of clarity, connection, and attunement to yourself and the container.
To maintain a container of safety and sacred presence:
We do not permit the consumption or carrying of any "medicines" during the Service or anywhere on the premises, including the patio.
If someone arrives in a state where they are noticeably intoxicated or unable to remain clear, coherent, and communicative, they will be asked to leave.
These requests are in place to support the well-being of our entire community and to uphold the integrity of our gatherings.
We deeply appreciate your respect and understanding as we continue to cultivate a space of safety, reverence, and collective harmony.

Sliding Scale: $15-$35 Vmo or cash money at the door!!(As always, no one is turned away due to lack of funds.)
The flow:
6:15p—Floor opens / Warm-up
6:30p-7:20p-- Beginners Mind Workshop Series.
7:45—Opening Circle / Invocation
8ish—Main Set Begins
9:30ish—Closing & Tithe/offering.
9:30ish-10pm—Chill and reset space. (Optional)
What to bring:
an open mind
an open heart
water bottle
dancing pants
your favorite movement props or safe Flo toys. (No fire, please).
Kids are welcome to join, but lyrics may be adult themed at times.Please note that the dance floor (in the Agora room) is a silent space. Kids and adults are also asked to follow the guidelines of this space. Such as no talking (noises are welcome, such as howls, yip-yips etc) and bowing into the space when entering and exiting.
An orientation to these dance guidelines will be shared at the beginning of the Movement Service. Be sure to check out the workshop @ 6:30p!
