HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE

for Wounded Knee, SD

Donations accepted through Dec. 19th

Each year during the ‘Giving Season’ we host a Holiday Gift Drive for the Lakota children and elders of the Community of Wounded Knee, South Dakota. We collect food items for the Community Holiday Dinner and gift items for the Children’s Christmas Party . You may donate items or money to go towards the purchase of items on the list posted below or drop off items at Unity of Boulder in person. We accept non-perishable Holiday Meal Items, gifts for elders (space heaters, blankets, winter outerwear, socks), new toys and bicycles).

HOLIDAY DINNER FOOD DRIVE:
Every year we collect food donations for up to 25 families' Holiday Dinner and gift & treat items for the Children’s Community Christmas Party , and deliver them in time for the Celebration.

OUR GIVING TREE: Everyone is welcome to help bring a joyous and sharing Holiday Season to the families of our Lakota Brothers & Sisters. We trim a Giving Tree in the main lobby for Thanksgiving where you can choose a tag for a child or elder in need of a gift. Purchase the gift and wrap it, place it under our Giving Tree. If you don't want to wrap it, we have a gift wrap station where our volunteers will wrap it for you. If you can't get in to choose a name, simply buy a new toy or gift for a child and write the gender and age on a tag of your own. You can ship it to us at 2855 Folsom St., Boulder, CO 80304 or drop it off in person in our main lobby under the Giving Tree.

TRAVEL EXPENSES: Fuel, 25′ Truck Rental Costs, & Lodging for drivers. You can make a donation to go towards Travel Expenses for the delivery of our Holiday Donations to Wounded Knee, (proceed to the Eventbrite Tickets Page).

BIKE DONATIONS: If you have a new or old child sized bike to donate, we will send it to the repair shop (located onsite in Wounded Knee) and fix it up for a child. If you specify that you would like your donation to go towards the purchase of a bike for a child, you can make a donation in that category.
