The invited sides are:
Molly No-Mates – Bristol’s premier queer, drag king Molly dancing team. They perform without bells or hankies, accompanied only by a singer and the sound of their stomping feet. Comprised of traditional Morris dancers and folk musicians, they honour those traditions while expressing personal and political queerness. Their performances avoid songs of maidens ruined or tales of heteronormative love, instead exploring the queeriest folk songs and creating original dances that queers the Morris tradition in every way possible.
Elemental Border Morris – An energetic, slightly bonkers ladies’ Border Morris side. Practicing in Worcestershire, each member represents one of the four elements: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth.
Hawthorn and Hare – A group of Wild Hearted Women from Worcestershire, dancing mostly in the Welsh Border tradition—but not traditionally! They celebrate the changing seasons and the Celtic Wheel of the Year through music, dance, and song. Based in the Malvern Hills, they are welcoming new members this Autumn. 2025 marks their first year performing publicly in the Folk & Morris community, and they are relishing every moment.
Asum Gras Molly takes its name from the colloquial term for Evesham asparagus. In tribute, the group wears green and purple costumes with green face paint. They dance all year round, not just during the short asparagus season.
Come for the morris - stay for Fleecey Folk with The Goblin Band!
