Athletes will have 1 hour to complete all 3 lifts.
Lifts will be completed in the following order: Bench Press, Back Squat, Deadlift.
Athletes will share a bench with another athlete.
Athletes will be spotted by other athletes who have signed up and will be asked to spot other athletes during the event.
Athletes can arrive 45min before their heat time to start warming up.
If athletes are late, they will not be granted extra time to complete the lifts.
At the call of 3, 2, 1, GO - athletes may have their Bench Press barbell loaded to their desired weight.

Weightlifting Belt
Knee/Elbow SLEEVES
Wrist Wraps
Mouth Guards
Shoes of any style (not required)
Not Permitted Equipment
Tacky/Any Sticky Adhesives
Wedges or anything to elevate the heels
Lifting Straps of any kind
Knee/Elbow WRAPS
Any pads/additional support on barbell for back squat.
I fully understand the equipment and know that if I use a not permitted item I will not be able to participate and will not get a refund.
BENCH PRESS A spotter is allowed to help lift and rerack the bar. Shoulder blades and glutes must remind in contact with the bench at all times. If either come off the bench, the lift will not count. Feet must stay in contact with the floor/plates/blocks at all times. If either foot comes off the floor, the lift will not count. Hooking feet/legs around supports is not allowed. Arms start locked out, showing unassisted control of the bar. There must be CLEAR CONTACT with the chest before pressing back up. Once arms are fully extended, the athlete must show a PAUSE to demonstrate full control before reracking the barbell.
BACK SQUAT No assistance of any kind allowed during any portion of the lift. Barbell begins in the squat rack. Athlete unracks the barbell and then Squats BELOW PARALLEL. Athlete must stand with knees and hips fully extended. Barbell must be reracked. Spotters will be used for safety but if a spotter is used during any portion of the lift, the lift does not count.
DEADLIFT Barbell begins on the floor. Traditional deadlift with hands outside of knees (Sumo Deadlift NOT permitted) Any style grip is allowed. Bar is lifted to finishing position with the hips/knees fully extended and head/shoulders behind the bar. Athlete may drop the barbell after judge confirms success of the lift.
