Moer N Boer is a unique monthly MMA sporting event created specifically for farmers and members of the farming community.

The event brings farmers together in a professionally organised and controlled MMA environment where registered participants can compete against one another under established rules, with a referee and event officials overseeing every bout.

The event takes place once a month at Bushhaven, Bothaville, Vaal River, North West.

This is not an uncontrolled fight. Moer N Boer is a structured sporting event with registration, rules, referee control, safety procedures and medical/first-aid support.

WHAT IS MOER N BOER?

Moer N Boer gives farmers the opportunity to step into the arena, test themselves physically, enjoy healthy competition and experience the camaraderie of the farming community.

Two registered participants compete in a controlled MMA engagement while friends, family, fellow farmers and spectators can attend and support the competitors.

Every bout is conducted under the supervision of a referee and authorised event officials.

ENTRY FEE

R2,500 PER PARTICIPANT

The participant entry fee is R2,500.

Please include your name with the proof of payment so that your payment can be correctly identified.

Your registration is not considered complete until the required registration information and payment confirmation have been received and accepted by the organiser.

PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY

Participation is subject to the event's eligibility and safety requirements.

Participants may be required to provide:

• Proof of identity.
• Completed registration information.
• Relevant medical information.
• A medical declaration.
• Medical clearance where required.
• Acceptance of the event rules and code of conduct.
• Confirmation that they meet the physical and safety requirements established by the organisers.

The organisers reserve the right to decline or postpone participation where the required eligibility, medical, registration or safety requirements have not been met.

MEDICAL & FIRST-AID SUPPORT

Participant safety is a fundamental requirement of Moer N Boer.

Appropriate first-aid and medical support will be available at the event, with procedures in place to respond to injuries and medical emergencies.

Participants must disclose relevant medical information requested during registration.

Participants should not compete if they are injured, unwell or otherwise unable to safely participate.

Where medical clearance is required, the participant must provide the required clearance before being permitted to compete.

SAFETY RULES

Every bout will take place under controlled conditions.

Safety measures include:

• A designated referee.
• Established rules for every bout.
• Participant registration and verification.
• Appropriate protective requirements.
• Medical and first-aid support.
• Pre-event participant briefing.
• Event officials overseeing the competition.
• Referee authority to stop a bout when necessary.
• Emergency procedures.
• The right of organisers to prevent or stop participation where safety requirements are not satisfied.

The referee and event officials have the authority to intervene or stop a bout whenever they determine that continuation presents an unacceptable safety risk.

REGISTRATION

All participants must register before entering a bout.

Participants may not simply arrive at the venue and enter the arena without completing the required registration and approval process.

Registration allows the organisers to:

• Confirm participant eligibility.
• Record emergency and next-of-kin information.
• Review medical declarations.
• Organise appropriate bouts.
• Manage participant numbers.
• Establish suitable match-ups.
• Confirm acceptance of the event rules.
• Confirm payment.
• Complete required declarations and documentation.

Places may be limited, so participants are encouraged to register and make payment in advance.

THE BOUTS

Each bout consists of two registered participants.

The engagement will be conducted according to the rules established by the event organisers and under the authority of the referee.

Participants are expected to respect:

• Their opponent.
• The referee.
• Event officials.
• The rules of the competition.
• The safety requirements.

Unsportsmanlike conduct, deliberate rule violations or behaviour that creates an unacceptable safety risk may result in disqualification or removal from the event.

It is an opportunity to meet other farmers, support friends and colleagues, enjoy the competition and experience something different from the ordinary farming routine.

IMPORTANT PARTICIPANT NOTICE

MMA is a physical contact sport and carries inherent risks, including the possibility of injury.

Participation is voluntary and subject to the event's registration, eligibility, medical, payment, safety and sporting requirements.

Participants must comply with all rules and instructions issued by the organisers, referee and medical personnel.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse participation, alter a bout, postpone a bout or stop a bout whenever safety requirements have not been met or continuation would present an unacceptable risk.

Full event rules, participant requirements, registration procedures and safety requirements will be communicated to registered participants before participation.
