Get ready for a heartfelt double-bill performance at the Chocolate Church with singer-songwriters Moe Reen and Louisa Stancioff, each offering distinct perspectives on contemporary folk and roots music through their expressive voices and songs that tell a story.
Country-folk songsmith Moe Reen writes from the heart, for the heart. A lifelong vocalist, their old-school country voice harkens to honky-tonk-heartbreak crooners of yesteryear, while their lyrics appeal to the personal-political concerns of today. They will be joined by bandmates playing upright bass and lead guitar.
Currently settled in Midcoast Maine, Louisa Stancioff has toured with her indie folk band all across the country. Her intelligent and soulful writing pairs with a confident and catchy indie sound drawing on folk, rock, pop, and her own balkan heritage.
Join us for a warm summer night of good music in good company!
