Meet your surgeons
Dr. Thomas V. King opens the evening on Avatar. Harvard-trained and a former Harvard Medical School faculty member, Dr. King pioneered rapid recovery after same-day total joint replacement, the foundation of the A.V.A.T.A.R. program, and has performed more than 20,000 surgeries.
Dr. Moby Parsons covers Jiffy Knee. He specializes in primary and revision joint replacement of the shoulder, hip, knee and elbow, including SuperPATH hip and custom knee replacement, and implanted the first reverse shoulder replacement in New Hampshire.
Dr. Kurt T. Geffken walks through the STAR approach to the hip. Born and raised in New England, he completed his orthopedic residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and fellowship training in Adult Joint Reconstruction, with a focus on complex revision surgery. He was hand-selected by Dr. King and Dr. Parsons to join the Avatar team.
