Modern Hypnosis proudly invites UK producer Sub Basics to celebrate his two critically acclaimed releases, "Offshore EP" and "Rhino EP," from last year.
Sub Basics has been producing electronic music for over a decade, showcasing his dubstep style on renowned labels such as Infernal Sounds, Foundation Audio, Jaun Forte, and J. Kenzo’s Lion Charge. In addition to his buy-on-sight dubstep releases, Sub Basics has made big waves in the bass techno scene with his signature dub techno rollers, which have been released on Steve O'Sullivan's legendary Mosaic record label, his own imprint Temple of Sound, and here on Modern Hypnosis. His tracks are played worldwide at festivals and clubs by artists such as Objekt, Ben UFO, Mia Koden, Azu Tiwaline, Yush, Kia, and Steve O'Sullivan, to name just a few.
Given his previous releases on Temple of Sound and numerous collaborations, it makes perfect sense to invite Naarm's finest multi-genre bass music producer, Pugilist. With over 50 vinyl releases to his name across respected record labels, including Martyn's 3024, Al Wootton's Trule, ZamZam Recordings, Nous'Klaer Audio, Repitore, Modern Hypnosis, and many more in the pipeline, this is a rare opportunity to have Pugilist step away from the studio to grace us with a well curated DJ set… and a cheeky B2B.
Join us for a night of dubbed-out broken techno and dubstep hybrids from two producers at the top of their game!
...also a nice wee milestone for Modern Hypnosis = 10 Years putting on parties / gigs / club nights / sound system nights in Naarm. Yay!
