About this Event
Modern-Day Slavery: Protect Our Youth From Human Trafficking
Does your child have a cell phone? Do they play video games or are on social media? Human trafficking has evolved with the digital age, making children accessible to perpetrators in new ways. Find out how to recognize and protect your child from the second most profitable criminal enterprise globally at a human trafficking awareness summit at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, in the Banquet Room at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock. High school senior, Noa Lessenberry, will be hosting this eye-opening event for students in 5th grade and up, their parents, grandparents, and other family members who would like to learn about this important and often overlooked topic that happens in our communities. Because of the seriousness of this topic, and because the chance of avoiding being a victim of human trafficking is higher when both our youth and their parents are present and aware, it is required that all children under 18 years of age attend with a parent or legal guardian
Guest speakers include Mark Ives of the Diocese of Little Rock Task Force Against Human Trafficking and Pornography and Peggy Tillman from the nonprofit organization Into the Light. Don't miss out on a chance to discover ways to protect our younger generation from this unnecessary evil.
