Whether you're already signed, just starting out, curious about the industry, or simply looking to build confidence and presence, The Model Project is designed to give you a real introduction to the world of modeling.
This 5-hour immersive workshop brings together experienced industry professionals and special guests for an afternoon of education, practical training, and honest conversations about the modeling industry.
What is The Model Project?
The Model Project is a modern fashion-industry training experience created by models, for models.
It was created to give aspiring and developing models access to the knowledge, skills, and industry insight that can often take years to learn. This isn't about fitting into rigid industry standards—it's about helping you discover your own presence, build confidence, develop professional skills, and better understand how the industry works.
You'll learn from professionals with real experience in modeling, photography, fashion, and the industry itself.
What We'll Cover
Throughout the workshop, participants will explore topics including:
- Building confidence and finding your presence
- Movement and posing
- Camera awareness and learning how to work in front of the lens
- Catwalk and runway fundamentals
- Understanding digitals, portfolios, and what agencies look for
- The ins and outs of the modeling industry
- What to expect when starting your modeling career
- Professionalism, castings, and working with clients
- Industry advice and real experiences from professionals and special guests
You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions, learn directly from people working in the industry, and connect with other aspiring and developing models.
Meet Your Host
Hi, I'm Melina.
I've been a model for over 20 years and have worked with more than 25 agencies around the world throughout my career. I've also coached and developed over 100 models, including new faces for agents such as Chantale Nadeau.
Over the years, I've experienced many different sides of this industry—the exciting parts, the challenging parts, and all the things I wish someone had explained to me when I was first starting out.
I recently transitioned into photography and model development, helping models and new faces create strong portfolios and develop the skills they need to become industry-ready.
The Model Project was created to share that knowledge.
If you're a model—whether signed, unsigned, experienced, or completely new—or if you're simply curious about modeling, this workshop is for you.

Recommended for ages 13 and up. There is no upper age limit.
Participants under 18 may require parent or guardian consent.

No previous modeling experience is required.
