Mock Nose Work Trial
NoseWork and Engagement LLC is excited to partner with Noble Beast Dog Training to offer a Mock Nose Work Trial (following NACSW trial guidelines). This event is designed to closely mirror real trial conditions while maintaining a supportive, educational environment.
This is ideal for teams looking to prepare for upcoming trials, gain experience in a large and novel search environment, and practice trial flow, handling, and strategy without pressure.
Event Details
Date: Sunday, August 23
Location: The Bergholtz Band Practice Building
49 Bridge Street
North Tonawanda, NY 14120
Levels Offered: NW1, NW2, NW3, Elite
Entry Fee: $50 per team
NW1 Start Time: 10:00 AM
A detailed run order with arrival times for other levels will be emailed to participants the week of the event.
Search Structure (NACSW-style guidelines)
NW1:
• 4 searches: Interior, Exterior, Containers, Vehicles
NW2:
• 5 searches total
• At least one of each element (Container, Exterior, Interior, Vehicle)
• One additional search may repeat any element
NW3:
• 6 searches total
• At least one of each element
• Two additional searches may repeat any elements
Elite:
• Trial-style searches following NACSW guidelines
Important Notes
• Nested hides will be used across all levels
• Second dogs entered by the same handler will run FEO (For Exhibition Only)
• Two judges will split levels and search areas
• Custom score sheets will be provided
• This is a mock trial only — no titles or official qualifying scores will be awarded
• Not affiliated with any specific venue
