About this Event
🤝 Mock Interviews & Communication Skills
Build the Confidence to Ace Your Next Australian Interview
Knowing you can do the job is one thing; proving it in a high-pressure interview is another. This session is a safe space to practice your professional communication and learn the "unspoken rules" of Australian workplace culture and self-presentation.
What we will cover:
- The STAR Method: Mastering the formula for answering behavioral interview questions.
- Professional Storytelling: How to talk about your achievements without feeling like you’re "bragging."
- Workplace Nuance: Understanding Australian professional etiquette and communication styles.
- Live Mock Practice: Participate in simulated interview scenarios and receive constructive, real-time feedback.
The Goal: To boost your confidence and refine your communication skills so you can present your best, most professional self in any Australian workplace setting.
About The Project
This is a one-month initiative with aiming to connect international students transitioning from hospitality, retail or casual work to graduate jobs by networking with HEX alumni currently in the Australian workforce.
Delivered by in partnership with Transformetion Australia, the initiative is a series of activities and social integration focused on supporting and developing international students’ communication skills, cultural adaptation, and mental health needs for a smoother transition into the Australian job market.
Combining professional networking with mental health support in a flexible, low-cost framework is an innovative approach that enhances accessibility and reach, offering a comprehensive solution to the challenges faced by international students.
