This event brings together civil society, grassroots organisers, and political leaders for a conversation about one of the defining political struggles of our time: how to confront the rise of authoritarian populism and defend democratic space on both sides of the Atlantic. The discussion will move between a sharp look at the Trumpist moment and a serious exploration of how resistance is being built from the ground up.We’ll dig into the real-world impacts of far-right politics in the US and Europe, from attacks on labor rights to the erosion of civil liberties. In response, the event will focus on constructing a collective vision centered on grassroots mobilisation, workers’ rights, and civil liberties, examining how transnational solidarity and direct action can serve as a model for defending democracy and building a more just and equitable society.
