Join MOAD and Dr. Mauricio Castro of Centre College for a talk about the Cuban Refugee Program and its relationship to the Freedom Tower.
About this Event

Dr. Castro will share invaluable information about the history of the Freedom Tower and its connection to the Cuban Refugee Program during an evening of reflection and learning. Castro is the author of Only a Few Blocks to Cuba: Cold War Refugee Policy, the Cuban Diaspora, and the Transformations of Miami by Mauricio Fernando Castro, published in 2024 by the University of Pennsylvania Press.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Light refreshments will be served.

Event attendees may park for free in the MDC garage at 500 NE Second Avenue, between NE Fifth and NE Sixth Streets.
