This course prepares students with the knowledge and skills to successfully apply for the MN Permit to Carry. Students will demonstrate a practical understanding of: the fundamentals of pistol use and firearms safety; the legal aspects and ramifications of pistol possession, carry, and use; introduction into situational awareness and defensive tactics; an overview of applicable state laws; and demonstrate safe pistol usage while achieving defensive accuracy during a live fire shooting qualification. *Shooting qualification will be done off-site. Firearms may remain in your vehicle until directed otherwise by the instructor, Emily Johnson.
Cost is $75 due at the time of class. Spots limited to 30 people. Sign up at the Island Lake Inn and RSVP to the event!
You will need your own firearm, a box of ammunition, and eye/ear protection.
Make sure to stop in early at the Island Lake Inn for a delicious breakfast (open at 8am) or reload after class with lunch!
