🎉 MMB Showcase Festival is the festival associated with the Mastering The Music Business conference. (more details here: https://facebook.com/events/s/mmb-conference-2024/1119163429115036/). This year it will take place between September 3-5 at Expirat Club. Entrance will be free.
🎼 MMB Showcase was founded in 2017 and has so far hosted over 70 artists from Romania and many European countries (UK, Italy, France, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, Slovenia, Ukraine, Poland, Belgium, Greece, Czech Republic, Serbia, Norway etc.).
Among the first names confirmed for the MMB Showcase Festival are: Alanaire (Spain), Alone at Parties (Romania), Immortal Onion (Poland), Michelle & Les Garçons (France), WOOMB (Bulgaria), Roadkillsoda (Romania), VEiiLA (Armenia), Kadjavsi (Romania), shishi (Lithuania), GØK2 (Estonia).
🥁 The success stories of the MMB Showcase Festival range from collaborations between Romanian and foreign artists, whose foundations were laid during the festival (Dan Byron and the Serbians from Ana and the Changes released a joint single), to international bands booked at festivals in Romania (Theodore from Greece, Ana and the Changes from Serbia, and Piqued Jacks from Italy) and even Romanian artists and bands (such as Mihail, byron, Lucia, Zimbru) invited to festivals in Serbia (Exit), the Netherlands (Eurosonic), Sweden (Live at Heart and Future Echoes), Hungary (BUSH), Slovenia (MENT), or Bulgaria (Spike).
🎸 The richest collection of success stories comes from the 2022 edition of the MMB Showcase Festival:
- the Romanian band Zimbru and the band IVA (from Bulgaria) – performed at Eurosonic (ESNS), the biggest showcase festival in Europe
- Catalina Cara was invited to two showcase festivals: Future Echoes (Sweden) and Spike (Bulgaria)
