Come celebrate Purim at MMAE on Friday, March 14th with a party and Shabbat dinner! We will have a megillah reading, a contest for the best hamantaschen (see below), games, music, a bounce house, a piñata, and more!The Purim Party will take place from 4:00-6:00pm and is free and open to the entire community! If you would like to join us for Shabbat dinner at 7:00pm, please purchase your tickets at https://mmae.org/event/mmae-purim-party-and-shabbat-dinner or call our main office at 410-653-7485 by March 7th. If you purchase your tickets online, please bring a printed copy of the email in order to avoid using an electronic device on Shabbat.
Hamantaschen Baking Contest
If you are interested in participating in the hamantaschen baking contest, please contact Caitlin Hirshfield at 917-607-2307 to schedule your three-hour time slot in our kitchen. We will provide all of the ingredients and the hamantaschen must be baked in our kitchen, but select ingredients can be brought in if purchased at one of the kosher supermarkets. You will need to bake 75-100 hamantaschen and the following prizes will be awarded:
– Grand Prize: $100 Market Maven gift card and lunch with Rabbi Shapiro
– Runner-Up Prize: $50 Market Maven gift card
