We have something on MLK Day for the kiddos too! Join us upstairs at the Madam Walker Legacy Center on Monday, January 20 at 9:30am or 1:30pm for Seeds of Caring’s 2nd Annual MLK Day of Youth Service, held in partnership with the 43rd Annual MLK Day Celebration. Together, we’ll honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by making this a day on, not a day off!Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, kids ages 2-12—along with their grown-ups—can contribute to their community in meaningful ways through hands-on activities, including:
- Assembling cleaning kits for recently housed neighbors
- Making breakfast kits for kids experiencing food insecurity
- Creating sun catchers to brighten seniors’ days
- Designing “Use Your Voice” posters
- A dream catcher reflection craft
Plus, our community partners will be on-site to educate and inspire! This FREE event requires registration, so don’t wait to secure your spot.
