The MLB Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is the official free skills competition of Major League Baseball, designed for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 to showcase their pitching, hitting, and running abilities. Participants can advance through local and stadium events to win an all-expenses-paid trip to compete at the Finals during the 2026 World Series. [1, 2]
2026 Competition Format
Athletes compete in either the Baseball or Softball division across four age groups: 7–8, 9–10, 11–12, and 13–14 (age is determined as of November 15, 2026). [1, 2, 3]
Pitch: Competitors are measured on their accuracy in throwing strikes to a designated target.
Hit: Participants hit a ball off a tee and are scored based on the distance and accuracy of the hit.
Run: Players are timed starting from a designated distance behind second base, touching third base, and running to home plate.
