Join MKIAO families for an easygoing afternoon filled with pizza, laughter, and meaningful connection.

This special Valentine’s celebration is thoughtfully designed with our autism community in mind—offering space to relax, be yourself, and simply enjoy time together.

Our amazing MKIAO volunteers will be serving as waiters for our wonderful families and Overcomers, making everyone feel extra loved and celebrated.

We’ll also have visual menus, coloring activities highlighting love and all things pizza, and sensory-friendly toys to share too!

Please be sure to RSVP so we can plan enough slices and sweet moments of fun for every Overcomer and their supporters. This is going to be a very sweet event—full of love, light, joy, and community.

At MKIAO (My Kid Is an Overcomer), those words are more than a phrase—they are a choice, a belief, and a celebration of how we see our children. We choose to focus on how our beautiful children overcome, not solely on a diagnosis.

When it comes to autism, we believe children are wonderfully and uniquely made, each in their own beautiful way. Their journeys may look different, but every step deserves to be honored. We celebrate how our children live, express themselves, grow, and thrive—through the high moments, the low moments, the small moments, and the big moments.

As a mom to a beautiful autistic child, I choose to see the Overcomer in my daughter every single day. To us, an Overcomer is someone who shows courage, resilience, and strength in their own way and at their own pace. Overcoming doesn’t always mean something big; sometimes it’s trying again, finding joy in the moment, or simply being exactly who you are.
