MJM + Hadassah + Rimon Book Group – March

A good book, great company, and the comforting hum of coffee roasting in the background — sounds like a perfect Sunday afternoon to us! Please join the MJM + Hadassah + Rimon Book Group as we gather once again in the cozy Roastery Room at Coffee By Design to discuss A Woman of Valor by Lynne Golodner.

In this engaging and thought-provoking novel, Golodner follows a Jewish woman navigating marriage, faith, ambition, and identity as she begins to question long-held expectations — her own and those of the community around her. A Woman of Valor offers plenty to reflect on, from tradition and gender roles to autonomy, resilience, and what it means to claim one’s voice.

The MJM + Hadassah + Rimon Book Group is a collaboration between the Maine Jewish Museum, Portland Hadassah, and Rimon — the Portland Jewish Women’s Group. New participants are always welcome, and we encourage you to join whether you’ve read every word, are partway through, or simply want to listen and be part of the circle.
