MJH Con Dios Foundation 14th Annual Chili Cook-Off

This lively event will feature live music, exciting live & silent auctions, a jalapeño eating contest, celebrity judges, and much more! Plus, donations for beer and margaritas will be available to keep the fun going! Whether you're a seasoned chili chef or just love tasting new flavors, you’ll have a fantastic time. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place chili, People’s Choice, Best Decorated Booth, and Jalapeño Eating Champion.Your wristband includes tastings of all the entries and voting tickets for your favorite chili and booth decor!

Why the MJH Con Dios Foundation?
The MJH Con Dios Foundation was created in 2004 in memory of Mary Jane Hamilton, a beloved Houston teacher who devoted seventeen years to helping elementary school students before transitioning to full-time charity work. Mary was passionate about supporting Texas youth, and her work with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Steer Auction Committee allowed her to make a direct impact on students’ education and opportunities. The foundation continues Mary’s mission by funding scholarships and supporting “hard-luck” students—those who face unexpected setbacks while trying to pursue their goals.

To date, the foundation has awarded over $125,000 to these “hard-luck” recipients and purchased nearly $400,000 worth of steers and poultry at the HLSR Junior Market Auctions. Your participation in the cook-off will help us continue this impactful work!

• General Admission: $20 or $15 in advance*
• Team Entry: $150 or $125 in advance*
