WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO BRING YOU THE WONDERFUL LEE AND DAWN PERROTT FOR A FUN PACKED AFTERNOON OF MJ WORKSHOPS FOLLOWED BY FREESTYLE!Lee and Dawn have been teaching, performing, choreographing and competing together since 2009 and have placed 1st in local, national and international competitions on over 20 occasions! They have won in many different categories including Showcase, Aerials/Airsteps, Double Trouble (with Melanie Blackham) and Team Showcase (with ‘Dancing On Air’) as well as placing in the top 3 of ‘The Open’ at the World Modern Jive Championships in 2023 and 2024.
They perform, judge and teach all over the world aiming to make all classes fun and informative with high quality content delivered with good humour. They are passionate about dancing and love sharing their experience, as well as continuing to learn and develop themselves.
They are both qualified Modern Jive teachers - full members of the LeRoc Federation (accredited by the UKA). Lee is also an associate ballroom and street dance teacher with the prestigious NATD. Their dance school (Style Dance School) in Hertfordshire offers classes in Ballroom, Latin and Street dance for both social dancers and exam medallists.

Workshop 1

Dynamics
Using changes in speed, height and shape to create eye-catching effects. Developing our partnered connection to adapt in real-time with many examples to practice.
Workshop 2
16:45 - 17:45
‘The Conversation’
Creating time and space for both partners to improvise - maximising opportunities to respond to the music and create those special moments in freestyle! (We provide you with set options, but show you how to develop your own ideas)
Workshop 3
18:00 - 19:00
What Just Happened?!
A fresh batch of new and innovative moves. Using popular techniques such as scrolls, hammers, ducks and rides (centripetals) to take your repertoire to the next level!
FREESTYLE
19:30 - 23:30
DJ Kane will be playing the coolest mix of MJ tunes, upbeat, smooth and funky to keep you happy and moving all night. If you have a favourite tune please ask, if he has it, he will play it!
Prior booking in advance is essential
Must book as a role balanced couple
