MJ Tribute: Yoga and Somatics at the Park

Calling all Michael Jackson fans! Let's celebrate his birthday by coming together, relaxing, rejoicing and connecting to yourself, nature, and each other with yoga and somatic experiencing to his music.

You know what yoga is, but what's somatic experiencing, you may ask? Think of expressive, mindful movement to get out of your head and into your body. It's a fluid, body based, nervous system regulation tool to help experience and process emotions and release tension and stagnant energy. DANCE is a form of somatic experiending and with somatics, theres no choreography, just movement that feels right to you.
What to expect:

Vibes and mingle at 5pm, yoga flow starts at 5:30pm

Beginner Friendly, no dance experience required.

Bring a mat, water, and a friend.

Wear your fave Michael Jackson merch!

Donation-based: Pay what you can.

MJ music, not just the hits, but songs he created for different emotional experiences and socially conscious awareness (think Man in the Mirror, Stranger in Moscow, Earth Song, etc).

MJ has a song to fit every mood, so if you're a fan, come listen, sing and dance along to the deep cuts. If you're a more casual listener, come discover something new!
