More about the Seminar:
Sound is one of the most powerful — misunderstood — storytelling tools, in film.
This seminar takes you inside the creative and technical craft of the re-recording mixer — the final storyteller in post-production. You’ll gain a clear understanding of how dialogue, music, ambience, and sound design are balanced and shaped to support emotion, pacing, and narrative clarity.
Brad will break down:
• How scenes are evaluated during the final mix
• The decision-making process behind shaping tone and intensity
• Collaboration between mixer, director, and editor
• Industry-level workflows used on professional productions
• How emerging filmmakers can prepare their projects for high-level post
Drawing from over 25 years in the industry, Brad offers practical insight into both the Canadian and U.S. production landscapes — and how Ontario filmmakers can position themselves within them.
This session is designed for filmmakers, producers, editors, and students who want to elevate their understanding of post-production and create work that feels polished, cinematic, and emotionally precise.
If you are a high school student, please email [email protected] for a 50% off discount code upon proof of enrollment.
