About this Event
This workshop is an extension of the Everyday Black Life exhibition at the South Dallas Cultural Center, offering a deeper look into the practices behind the work on view. As part of a special April workshop series, select exhibiting artists lead hands-on sessions exploring their mediums and creative processes.
In this session, Mandla Senzanje guides participants through the art of mixing and painting Black skin tones, diving into color theory, technique, and representation.
This is one of three workshops taking place throughout the month of April.

Through demonstration and practice, attendees will explore color theory, undertones, and techniques that challenge traditional palettes while celebrating the richness and diversity of Black skin.
